New procedure for entering Cambodia

What is the E-Arrival Card

From July 2024, immigration border posts entering Cambodia will stop distributing official paper documents on arrival. These official documents are :

  • Immigration card
  • Certificate of good health
  • Customs declaration form

The electronic arrival card (E-Arrival Card) offers a digital replacement solution through a single online portal.

When and how do I fill in the electronic arrival card?

The E-Arrival Card must be completed online free of charge no later than 7 days before arrival in Cambodia and no earlier than the day of arrival, using :

  1. Download the “Cambodia e-arrival” app from Google Play or iOS on your cell phone (requires a 4G/Internet connection).
  2. Open the official website on your browser and follow the steps https://www.arrival.gov.kh/
  3. A unique QR code is created for each new passenger registration. It is recommended that each traveler take a screenshot or download their QR code before closing their page or leaving the website.

By using the mobile application, the QR code remains available even after registration, and can be accessed even without an internet connection.

A tutorial on how to fill in the form is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UgwUTDROmA

Important notes

  • From July 2024, only the QR code can be presented to immigration authorities on arrival, either by presenting it on your phone, or via a printable version.
  • If you make a mistake when registering online, you can always resubmit an electronic arrival card until your application has been processed by immigration officials.
  • No change to visa requirements. Visas can still be obtained online or on site on arrival.
